Vang Bhasma is heated to make a fine powder. It is made from the metal tin. Tin goes through a process called bhasma preparation which makes it really fine. It provides nutrients and makes you stronger. This medicine works well for mental tiredness, worm infestations, and sexual problems. This preparation needs to be done correctly because raw Vanga Bhasma can cause unwanted effects. Here is the general procedure to make Vang Bhasma
Cleaning: To make the raw tin neat and clean , it is sinked in a liquid which is made from plants like ginger or triphala. This process helps to clear impurities and cleans the metal before it is prepared
Calcination: The clean tin is heated at a high flame temperature till the time it becomes liquid and then turns into ash. This process is done so many times to assure the metal becomes ash completely.
Grinding: The heated tin ash is broken into a very fine powder by using a special tool.
Mixing : We have to mix the tin ash powder with some herbal powders or juices, like triphhala powder, ginger juice or ghee. Then, the mixture is heated up to make a thick substance.
Calcination : Calcination is when paste is put in a hot furnace and becomes ash . This process has been done so many times until we get the final Vang Bhasma Powder.
The suggested amount of Vang Bhasma is usually 15-60 mg, taken once or twice a day, with honey or ghee, after eating.
